Synopsis
A profoundly touching celebration of the American experience, this landmark epic film was made in Sweden and recounts the dramatic and resourceful Swedish emigration to America in the 19th century. Tired of poverty, tyranny, social injustice, and religious persecution in their homeland, they settled in the Midwest to create a new and better world.
