- Synopsis
- Jeanne (Isild Le Besco) is a young woman whose life is a complicated mix of trying to find employment as an actor while bumping around in casual and unsatisfactory relationships. Rehearsals and auditions lead to sporadic work, on stage and in film. But what starts to eat away at Jeanne is the fact that she does not know the identity of her father. Even her mother (Bérangère Bonvoisin) is unsure – but there was a relationship with an Indian man…
While there is no hard evidence, the restless Jeanne sets out on her own for the vastness of India with little more than a name as a clue. In the hope that she will find what she is looking for, she immerses herself into the jumble and life of a continent that is totally foreign to her. She makes tentative connections to people on planes, trains and in the streets until, eventually, she befriends a young man (Parikshit Luthra) who acts as a guide, assisting her and introducing her to the mysteries of India.-
