Synopsis

Directed by Tom Shkolnik, The Comedian stars Edward Hogg as Ed (the entire film’s cast use their own names), a troubled thirty-something man who’s discontented with his call-centre day job and hopes to make waves on the London comedy scene. After bombing on stage one evening, a fed up Ed takes the night bus home, where he meets Nathan (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett), a young and carefree male artist, and the two quickly begin a passionate affair. However, with Ed’s beautiful French flatmate and best friend, Elisa (Elisa Lasowski), hinting that she has feelings for Ed, a complicated love triangle ensues and both relationships become tarnished by Nathan and Elisa’s jealousy.
