- Synopsis
- Long hair and true love conquer all in this retelling of the classic tale of Rapunzel.
A childless Witch (Hope Floats' Gena Rowlands) steals a baby girl and whisks her away to a tall tower where she raises her as her own and calls her Rapunzel.
Rapunzel (Faerie Tale Theatre's creator and host Shelley Duvall) turns into a lovely-but lonely-young woman with the longest golden hair in the land. When a handsome Prince (Seabiscuit's Jeff Bridges) sees her' it's love at first sight and he begs her to let down her hair so he can use it a ladder and come face to face with the woman of his dreams.
Will it be curtains for Rapunzel (and her hair) when the Witch finds out about the Prince?-
