- Synopsis
- This story tells the tale of a young Texan named John Grady Cole (Damon) who ventures across the border into 1940s Mexico after his mother sells the ranch where he grew up. Along with his friend Lacey Rawlins (Thomas), they pick up a young delinquent (Black) and eventually arrive at a hacienda where they are hired to break horses. But when he falls in love with the daughter (Cruz) of the ranch owner, it results in arrest, Mexican jail and a murder in self-defense.
