- Synopsis
- 3 episodes. Documentary about The Beatles with many unreleased footage showing the conviviality, camaraderie and humor that reigned during the making of "Let It Be", the Beatles' legendary studio album, and their last live concert as a group, the unforgettable performance on the rooftop of London's Savile Row. More than 55 hours of previously unreleased footage, filmed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969, and 140 hours of rarely heard audio recordings from the recording sessions for the "Let It Be" album have been compiled. In addition, Peter Jackson has worked closely with the living Beatles and the widows of the deceased, gaining access to a wealth of material that is being released for the first time.
