- Synopsis
- The 1960s. Rachel Flax (Cher), an eccentric and sexy single mother, has two daughters. The older one, Charlotte (Winona Ryder), a teenager who is ashamed of her mother's extravagances, sets out to be the best Catholic in the world. The younger (Christina Ricci) dreams of becoming an Olympic swimmer. Her last romantic relationship broken, as usual, Rachel moves with her daughters to a new city. There, Charlotte discovers first love, and Rachel meets a peculiar shoe salesman (Bob Hoskins).
