- Counterfeit artist Lee Man (Aaron Kwok) was arrested in Thailand and Hong Kong police extradites him back to the territory. Before his prosecution, he was bailed by painter Yuen Man (Zhang Jingchu), who is regarded as a national treasure, and the two sides reached an agreement. As long as Lee reveals the true identity of "Painter" (Chow Yun-fat), the mastermind of a counterfeit banknote organisation, Lee can be a tainted witness. As a result, Lee helplessly agrees to testify.
