- Synopsis
- Summer 2010. The World Cup is being played in South Africa, but every afternoon all eyes are on an aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany. This is the home of Paul the cephalopod, a small octopod with prodigious oracle qualities: as proven by the fact that he guessed the winner of each and every one of the games during the championship, including, of course, the final between Holland and Spain. Fascinated by the mollusk’s brilliant rise to pop icon capable of inspiring songs and merchandising, the creator of The People vs. George Lucas has made a documentary that reflects on man’s capacity to create myths from nothing.
