Synopsis: A tale of star-crossed lovers set on the lonesome plains of Kazakhstan. A young couple, Timur and Elya, use their love as a shield against the harshness of the world around them. When Elya becomes pregnant their happiness seems secured. Fate, however, has a different ending written for their love, one far more tragic than the life they have pictured. Orpheus reimagined against a backdrop of pastoral beauty and social isolation, "The Dove's Bell Ringer" is a modern fable—a narrative rooted in myth and fantasy with a visual style marked by lyrical, expansive photography.
