- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as we learn in this charming retelling of one of the most beloved fairy tales of all time.
A Merchant steals a rose from a strange castle for his youngest daughter, only to be caught by the owner-a horrible looking Beast (Klaus Kinski). As punishment, the Merchant is told he must return to the castle within three days, or send one of his three daughters in his place.
The eldest (Daddy Daycare's Anjelica Huston) scoffs at the story, but as a testament to her love for her father, the youngest one--Beauty (Rugrats In Paris'/Little Women's/ Stepmom's Susan Sarandon) sneaks away and goes to the castle in her father's place.
When Beauty arrives, she discovers that it's what's inside a person that really counts...-
