Synopsis: Rafiq, a sheepherder in a village, loves to sing. His voice is always heard in the village and over the farms. This attracts the attention of Santi, a famous singer who is vacationing in the village. When they meet, she sympathises and even falls in love with him. She asks him to come with her to the city. He agrees only when his sister, Ratih, wants to commit suicide from heartbreak. Santi’s persistence in pushing her manager, Prana, opens the way for Rafiq to build a serious career in the city. But Rafiq and Santi’s relationship does not go smoothly. Prana has been hoping for Santi’s love, but it never happens, which makes him desperate. He orders his men to harm Rafiq. Luckily, he is only injured but not killed. Instead, Santi’s father dies, killed by Prana’s men. Rafiq is suspected but is proven innocent. But Prana dies, electrocuted on stage while planning to kill Rafiq. The whole film is filled with love-themed "dangdut" songs such as "Pandangan Pertama" (which popularised Rafiq as a "dangdut" singer), "Milikku", "Kehancuran", and others.
