- Synopsis
- Algeria, 1930's. Younes is only nine years old when his father loses everything. Overwhelmed, he decides to entrust the child to his brother, a pharmacist integrated in the western community of Oran. The child grows up among young settlers with whom he becomes inseparable friends. A privileged existence that neither the Second World War nor the convulsions of an Arab nationalism in full expansion can disturb. Until the day Émilie arrives in the city, a fascinating young woman who will become the object of desire of all of them and who will test the fraternal complicity of the four friends, divided between loyalty, selfishness and resentment that the war of Independence aggravates.
