- Synopsis
- Documentary about the disasters caused by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans (Louisiana). It was released on the first anniversary of the fateful date. The director describes in detail the terrible consequences of the catastrophe while paying a human and historical tribute to the city of New Orleans. It was on August 29, 2005 when the hurricane devastated the state of Louisiana, leaving more than 1,300 dead, 1.5 million people homeless and billions of dollars worth of property damage. The documentary opens with Louis Armstrong's nostalgic song ''Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans'' in tribute to those who will never return, and concludes with the jovial lament of a traditional jazz funeral, a typically New Orleans celebration that begins by mourning the dead and concludes by celebrating life.
