- Synopsis
- The Lions rarely hunt baboons time . These large monkeys are armed with dangerous teeth , they are difficult to catch and usually , the risk and effort is not worth it . But there is a place in the Great African Rift Valley where baboons and lions have learned to hunt abound.
In Tarangire National Park , the river never dries . During times of drought large herds of animals come to him to drink water.
It is a time of plenty for predators until it begins to rain on the plains surrounding the park , when the animals leave Tarangire .
Now only predators are species that live there permanently to hunt. Desperation leads to lions attacking large groups of baboons who sleep away from the hungry felines but who in the heat of the day are more vulnerable to attack .
To survive at ground level , baboons join forces with other neighbors such as impala and mongoose , so that more eyes warning of danger. But hunger awakens the senses and predators find ways to ambush baboons .
Once again the earth begins to dry, the herds return to the river and the difficult days will be over for the Lions . The pressure will fade but the baboons for hunters stalking monkeys must be ever alert.
