- Synopsis
- Swansea, Wales, 1994. Five ordinary Welsh men confront their dreams and lies as they embark on one of the world's first clinical trials of the drug that would become Viagra. One of them is Meurig (Iwan Rheon), a man suffering from impotence due to his diabetes and also coping with the illness of his wife Ffion (Alex Roach). There is also Tommy (Paul Rhys), a gay man who manages to participate in these trials despite the fact that they are originally intended for heterosexual men. Colin (Steffan Rhodri) is afraid he won't be up to the task when he meets in person the woman he's met on a phone dating service. Pete (Phaldut Sharma) seeks to recapture lost passion with his wife. And Eddie (Mark Lewis Jones) looks like a strong man, but beneath that facade hides a deep vulnerability.
