- Synopsis
- In the glamorous world of New York City, Rebecca Bloomwood is a fun-loving girl who is really good at shopping—a little too good, perhaps. She dreams of working for her favorite fashion magazine, but can't quite get her foot in the door—until ironically, she snags a job as an advice columnist for a financial magazine published by the same company. As her dreams are finally coming true, she goes to ever more hilarious and extreme efforts to keep her past from ruining her future. Based on the novel "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella.

-
"Not only is it an unfunny movie shrilly told, it probably is the most ill-timed and appallingly insulting movie in recent memory. (...) Rating: ★ (out of four)"
-
"Isla Fisher shines in dressed-up screwball comedy (...) This movie has no light to shed on the matter. It is its own contradiction: a film about confessions in which nothing much is confessed."
-
"High Points: Confessions is as unrealistic as the talking mannequins, but we’re pleasantly surprised by how good this movie makes us feel. (...) Low Points: we’ve seen this before in every fashion-crazed chick flick there is. Women like boots. We get it. (...) Rating: ★★½ (out of four)"
