- Synopsis
- In England's north country, three children find an escaped and wounded murderer in a barn and convince themselves, through something he mutters, that he is the re-incarnation of Jesus Christ. Accepting the role, the man is safely hidden from the police, brought food, and nursed back to health. Unwittingly, however, the children ultimately are the cause of his betrayal. When the police finally close in, the convict must choose between his own conscience and the children's innocent faith in him.
