- Synopsis
- TV Series (1965-Present). Veteran NBC daily soap opera with more than 11 thousand episodes. It deals with regular stories of family life and the work environment (especially in a psychiatric clinic), of a few families in the fictional city of Salem. "Like the sands of the hourglass...so are the days of our lives." These words, spoken by cast member Macdonald Carey, open each episode of this long-running American television series, famous outside the USA for its constant mention in the series "Friends" when the Joey Friends character Joey Tribbiani gets work as an actor on it playing a neurosurgeon.
