- Synopsis
- Our socioeconomic system is being increasingly questioned, and with it, the role of the current education, whose thought patterns come directly from industrialization, when it came to train people that worked as laborers in a mechanical manufacturing process. Although the contents have changed and the school is no longer an authoritarian place, setting standardized tests dominates the classrooms more than ever. Performance and meritocracy have become the measure of all things, as a kind of fetish in a competitive and globalized society, regardless of the real needs of children. Educational programs are made only from the technocratic perspective of adults, deteriorating the creativity and the imagination that could help us face new solutions without fear of failure. Alphabet ponders upon our educational system so that everyone can reach their full potential regardless of academic standards.
