Synopsis
The film is based on a real-life tragedy of the sinking of the steamer "Taiping" ferry in January, 1949. The incident led to the deaths of over 1,500 passengers and crew members. With the incident as its backdrop, the film tells the tales of three different love stories. Set during the Chinese Revolution.
