- Synopsis
- The ineffable and clumsy police lieutenant Frank Drebbin is back to save the city. But this time he has to face the villains of the energy industry. A leading scientist, Dr. Mainheimer, is about to publish a report on the energy reserves that will remain in the future. His pessimistic forecasts are detrimental to the owners of the oil, coal and nuclear power plant industries. So the affected businessmen kidnap Mainheimer and replace him with a doppelganger more favorable to their interests. Drebbin must interview Jane, the doctor's secretary, and their old passion is reborn from the ashes.
