Synopsis

A high school student named Reggie Reynolds excels in the classroom but struggles on the basketball court. However, one day, he encounters a junk dealer who gifts him a pair of old gym shoes once worn by a star in the Negro Basketball leagues during the 1930s. Upon putting on the red sneakers, Reggie immediately transforms into a basketball superstar. His skills catch the eye of a major shoe company executive who wants Reggie to switch from the old red sneakers to his company's brand. Yet, Reggie understands that without those magical old red sneakers, he'll be back on the sidelines.
