- Synopsis
- A passionately dramatic interpretation of a 39-year forbidden relationship between the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson (Sam Neill, JURASSIC PARK) and a beautiful mulatto slave named Sally Hemings (Carmen Ejogo). This fictionalized historical scandal is portrayed here as the pair sharing a loving relationship, with Jefferson fathering at least one--and possibly all six--of Sally's children. A historical tale of love and triumph in the face of prejudice.
