- Synopsis
- The first portrait, on the big screen, of what is considered the hero and the purest symbol of the 25th of April 1974. Fernando Salgueiro Maia, the non-occasional anti-hero, product of an academic and military formation, was a man who knew thinking about the future, following ideas, contesting them, living a full, happy and fertile life, in solidarity and suffering – if you haven't died prematurely at 47 years old. Through a modern, intimate and emotional approach, "Salgueiro Maia - O Implicado" portrays the untold stories about Captain April. The small revelations that allow us to better understand where the moderation, courage, politeness and firmness with which he always presented himself came from, and which were the key for the Carnation Revolution to have been as it was. A film that reveals the other side of a mythical character and pays tribute to the man, the student, the soldier, the father, the friend and the unique soldier of April.
