- Synopsis
- Jim and Kristen are undercover narcotics officers, partners who become lovers - and addicts - as they infiltrate the local drug scene in order to bring down a suspected drug lord. But as their relationship intensifies and their drug use turns to abuse, the fine line between the good guys and the bad guys becomes as blurry as their drug-induced vision.

- Critics' reviews
-
-
"Head-swiveling directorial debut of Lili Fini Zanuck lays out a tough masculine scenario [based on Kim Wozencraft's book] in a way that is always emotionally riveting."
-
"Leigh is effective as always, but has little to chew on; Patric has even less."
-
"It's so downbeat that it's not likely to make a dime. Nevertheless, Rush is the most harrowing love story about a couple of drug addicts since the near-classic Panic in Needle Park"
-
"Rush is dour, and its danger and its spectacle of mind-melting become humdrum. Still, the film is well-acted and is painstakingly accurate in details"
