Synopsis
The gripping story of a writer who gets more than he bargained for when he takes a job at a casino in order to gather material for a novel. As he falls deeper into his life as a dealer, he finds himself becoming the wretched character that he's been writing about. Mike Hodges' (GET CARTER) film is a taut psychological thriller that features a starmaking turn by Clive Owen (BENT). Complete with a clever twist for an ending, CROUPIER is a highly entertaining thriller from the minds of Hodges and screenwriter Paul Mayersberg.
