- Synopsis
- Valentín, eight-years-old and wise beyond his years, is the narrator of this wry look into the absurd world of adults. All but abandoned by his temperamental playboy father (Alejandro Agresti) and his mysteriously absent mother, Valentin lives with his eccentric grandmother (Carmen Maura, a favorite in Pedro Almodovar's films) in an isolated Buenos Aires apartment. Desperate to have a normal family life, Valentín embarks on a series of missions which have delightfully unexpected results.
