- Synopsis
- TV Series (2006-2009). 3 Seasons. 39 Episodes. After five years fighting in the Crusades, Robin of Locksley returns home to find his people brutalized under the tyrannical rule of the new Sheriff. In his absence Sir Guy of Gisborne governed Robin's lands. Many villagers including the Scarlett family suffered terribly. Robin seeks advice from the old Sheriff Edward and his daughter Marian. He's secretly delighted that his childhood sweetheart Marian remains unmarried, but she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with him.
Robin confronts the Sheriff about the state of Nottingham and slights him in front of a crowd. The Sheriff tries to force Robin to send Dan Scarlett's sons to the gallows. But Robin wages a daring rescue attempt and frees the boys. As Robin escapes, he chooses to become an outlaw and leads Will Scarlett, Allan A Dale and Much into Sherwood Forest. But Little John and his men give them an unwelcome reception.-

"Though entertaining, the series seems uncertain about whether it's trying to be a serious action-adventure show or a lighthearted spoof of one."
