- Synopsis
- 'Grease', the movie version of the popular musical, is an idyllic portrayal of high school infatuation and 50's cool. Danny (John Travolta) and Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) share a summer romance, thinking it will end with the beginning of school. But Sandy is transferred to Rydell High School, where Danny is leader of the leather-jacketed T-Birds. His "too-cool" stature is in jeopardy when he discovers Sandy is a cheerleader, and attempts to avoid showing his real feelings. Both decide to make the other jealous, and with the help of the "Pink Ladies", headed by wise-cracking Rizzo (Stockard Channing), Sandy eventually succeeds in winning Danny back.
