- Synopsis
- Presents the lives of two women in France in the 1960s and 1970s, with the feminist movement in which Varda participated as a backdrop. Pauline 'Pomme' and Suzanne meet when Pomme helps Suzanne to have an abortion after a third pregnancy she cannot afford. They lose contact, but meet again ten years later. Pomme is a bohemian singer and Suzanne, a community worker at a family planning center. Despite their differences, they will remain friends, sharing several conflicts and affirming their feminine identities. (FILMAFFINITY)
