- Synopsis
- Based on the novel by Kaori Ekuni and Jinsei Tsuji. Junsei Agata is a young Japanese who works in Florence as an expert of the restoration of art paintings. His life appears to be perfect, but he feels it's empty. Even though he has a girlfriend, he clings to the memory of one girl with whom he spent his school days. Her name was Aoi. She was from Hong Kong. One day, he happens to learn Aoi is in Milan. When he goes to Milan he finds Aoi lives with a wealthy American. There's no place for him. Added to that, a painting in his studio was destroyed during his absense. He runs away to Japan. There he finds a secret behind the incident which made Junsei and Aoi apart. Now he hangs on to one slight hope. 10 years ago he made a promise with Aoi to meet in Florence on her 30th birthday. She must have forgotten it, but he returns to Italy to prove to himself that his love was true.
